With the lack of good quality guitar driven music, often times it is nice to find a CD with quality guitar playing. Rusty Cooley self-titled release is one of those CD's.

Rusty provides a seven string frenzy of shred guitar. His musical compositions are well constructed and give Rusty a vehicle to show off his technical prowess. Known for his instructional work this is Rusty first solo release.

My impression of Rusty is that he is the Tony MacAlpine of 00's. A technically brilliant player. The CD includes 10 featured tracks plus 2 bonus tracks featuring vocalist Kelly Carpenter. Nu-breed metal bands start taking notes, this is how real guitar players do it.

Personal Favorites: "The Butcher," "E.B.E.," "The Duel" and "Dominion"

Bottom Line:

This is a very well produced CD. Hats off to Rusty, who did an excellent job producing this CD. If your looking for driving rhythms, crunching guitars and over the top shred solos this disc is for you.................
