| Rusty Cooley: the ones who know him already know of what
I'm talking about, I mean the evolution of guitar technique. Rusty, an American
guitar player, has evolved the possibility of the guitar techniques arriving
at the physical human limits. This DVD, 1 hour and 20 minutes long, was recorded on November 1998 during a guitar clinic. Rusty, with his Ibanez 7 string (now he has an endorsement for Ibanez) plays 5 songs from his first solo album on basic tracks and shows the guitar techniques used on solos. He then talks about guitar effects and answers the questions from people. Between each songs he talks about guitar exercises played with alternate picking, sweep picking, legato, tapping, the ones that will be used for his first series of instructional cd-rom called 'Shred Guitar Manifesto'. The DVD is really interesting to watch and to learn materials because you can see Rusty playing songs but you can also try to learn his exercises because he plays them slow and then at Rusty-Speed! For sure I can advice this DVD most of all to guitar players because we can watch on it only Rusty with his 7 string, but in my opinion this DVD is something that everyone should have to really know where the technical limits have arrived with guitar techniques and he has arrived at the highest level... consider also that the clinic was recorded on 1998!!!
