Revolution, EP/Demo 1991-1992These next 5 tunes are strictly for the curious only. This is material recorded in 1991 and 1992, at which time I was in my 8th and 9th years of playing. The name of the band was Revolution. It featured Karim Khorsheed on lead and rhythm guitar, Bobby Fikes on bass, Cole Stanfield on lead vocals, Jess Mitchell on drums, and myself on lead and rhythm guitar. Revolution played locally in Houston and was one of the top drawing bands. We opened for bands like Badlands, Nitro, Every Mothers Nightmare, and performed as a headliner also. So don't judge too harshly. It's me in my playing infancy and it wasn't an easy decision for me to put these up here for all the world to hear, but what the hell. I'm pretty proud of it, and Lord knows they were some great times. I've got lots of stories tell about those days back in my youth. Thanks, Rusty...Graffiti is from a 1992 Revolution EP. At the time, I had 9 years playing experience, and was 23 years old. Karim takes the first half of the solo and I get to finish it off. Which Way This tune is from the same EP. I get the main solo. Don't Give A Damn Same EP. Karim and I share whammy noise in beginning and end. I take the short little solo in the middle. Wing And A Prayer This is from a 1991 demo. It's the first song that Revolution wrote as a band. 8 years playing guitar, at the time. This was my first time with the Phrygian Dominant mode. Karim and I start the tune with a dual lead. I take the first solo. Karim has the second solo, and I finish off the tune with an improvised clean solo. Compilation Solo This last tidbit is a compilation of solos taken from a 1991 demo.
