  • Dimebag Darrell 1966-2004 It was a little before 6:00 am on Thursday December 9, I cranked up the computer to check my email while getting Sebastian ready for school. Two emails came down the wire delivering the info on Dime. I couldn’t believe it; this can’t be for real I thought. I ran over to the TV to see if there was any info on it and sure enough it was. Dime is one of my all time favorite guitar players. I remember seeing Pantera playing the club scene in Houston before they hit the big time. Dime’s rhythm guitar playing was as powerful as a jackhammer yet still grooved with smooth precision. His leads where tasty, bluesy, mean, and quick with some hellacious whammy work. As I’m sitting here writing this I still can’t believe it’s real. What a horrible senseless thing to happen why?, why?

Rock on Dime, I love you man!
    Rusty
